Patriot traveled to Orange County and played Savanna HS in Tuesday Night. The Warriors dug themselves a hole in the quarter trailing 19-11.

In the 2nd quarter they began to get some rhythm on offense being led by the hot shooting of Andrew Hale coming off the bench. Patriot went into halftime trailing 37-29.

They made some defensive adjustments and held Savanna to 12 points in the 3rd quarter while scoring 17 points so they cut the deficit down to 4 points going into the 4th quarter. Patriot tightened up there defense in 4th quarter giving up only 4 points. Patriot was led by Sean Brannon in the quarter when he hit two Free throws with 1:41 remaining to give them their first lead of the game. Junior Gavin Kroll made two free throws with 10.4 seconds left to put the Warriors up 3. The team played phenomenal defense and the Rebels missed their last shot with 0.5 seconds but they called a foul on Patriot on the rebound. Savannah had 0.5 seconds to get a shot and Sean Brannon stoke the ball.

With the win Patriot advances to Quarterfinals for first time since 2008. Also with the win it was their 23rd on the season is now the most Wins in a season in school history.

Their next game is Thursday, Feb. 14 @ 7 pm at Patriot.
